Keloid Scars

A keloid scar is a thick raised scar. It can occur wherever you have a skin injury but usually forms on earlobes, shoulders, cheeks or the chest. People, who are prone to developing keloids, get them in more than one place.

Hypertrophic Scars

Hypertrophic scars are typically red and nodular. They also tend to regress with time

Atrophic Scars

Indented scars often caused by acne or injuries that result in tissue loss.
Examples include ice pick scars or boxcar scars.

Contracture Scars

Contracture scars are the result of a burn. Those scars can affect mobility due to the contraction of a muscle or tendon.
