Knee Pain
-The knee can have so many different issues or injuries, so this is just a general overview of what treatment looks like.
-I begin by performing myofascial release on the tibialis of the leg.
-In addition to feeling nice, this helps warm up the tissue and prepares it for the next step.
-After warming up the tissue I check the ligaments in the knee on both sides, making sure none of them are damaged.
-At a muscle insertion point on the top of the knee is where a lot of people experience knee pain. By cross fiber massaging the area we can increase their range of motion and alleviate that pain.
-On the inside of the knee below the patella is another common area for knee pain to be present. I address this area by using circular friction, and it’s a spot where injuries can happen frequently because there are three muscles in the area: the gracilis, semitendinosus, and sartorius.
