Knee Pain
The knee can have so many different issues or injuries, so this is just a general overview of what treatment looks like.
I begin by performing myofascial release on the tibialis of the leg.
In addition to feeling nice, this helps warm up the tissue and prepares it for the next step.
After warming up the tissue I check the ligaments in the knee on both sides, making sure none of them are damaged.
At a muscle insertion point on the top of the knee is where a lot of people experience knee pain. By cross fiber massaging the area we can increase their range of motion and alleviate that pain.
On the inside of the knee below the patella is another common area for knee pain to be present. I address this area by using circular friction, and it’s a spot where injuries can happen frequently because there are three muscles in the area: the gracilis, semitendinosus, and sartorius.
